Mr Davies' 30 Years

Mr Davies’ 30th Year Anniversary as a member of staff at Attleborough

In January 2017, staff and students at Attleborough Academy have been celebrating an astounding thirty years of devoted service by Assistant Principal and History teacher Mr Simon Davies. To mark this incredible occasion, staff gathered with a wonderful cake illustrated with photos from across the thirty years. The wonderful celebration cake was provided by Edible Elegance cakes in Attleborough, a company run by an Attleborough Academy parent.

Simon spoke about the thirty years of his working life here: " It is a real pleasure teaching at Attleborough. I have never before experienced such a sense of community, where the staff, students and parents work so well together to make the Academy a really special place. It is a privilege to have worked with so many outstanding young people through the years and to see them go on to achieve their potential in the outside world. In addition, I have seen the school go from strength to strength. You couldn't find a better place to work. Here's to the next thirty years."

Principal Mr Neil McShane commented: “Mr Davies is such an integral part of Academy life; in the thirty years he has taught here and been involved in the wider pastoral care, he has positively changed the life of so many young people and also had a huge impact on our community. Everyone here admires and values him highly. Not only is he a truly inspirational teacher of History, but he is also an intelligent, extremely positive and highly respected colleague and member of our Leadership Team.”
